Ready Reset Go!
Happy New Year! Can you believe that it is already 2024? It seemed like yesterday it was year 2000 and everyone thought the world was going to end. Aren’t we so glad that God is in control and not people-lol.
This year before we continue to do the same things that we did in 2023 let’s take some time to Reset before we Go! What do I mean by that? A reset is to take inventory of what went well in 2023 and what didn’t and ask yourself how will you go forward in 2024 to ensure that you are at your optimal best. Another definition from Cambridge Dictionary means: to start again after a period of rest or change, so that you feel better able to deal with your life or with a situation.
It's vital that we take time to do a reset so that we can be refreshed and have clarity on what we need to do in every aspect of our lives for this new year. I had an opportunity to do a reset in the beautiful quaint town of Edenton, NC on the last day of 2023. I prayed and walked by the waterfront seeking direction for my life. I was interrupted a few times by my son showing me some various findings-lol, but overall it was still very effective. So whether you have a chance to go to a physical place to do a reset or you’re in your home I would like to encourage you to take time to ask yourself these questions:
What does my relationship with God look like, how can I improve it? What does my relationship with my friends and family look like, how can I improve it? Am I at my optimal health, what can I do differently to improve my physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health? Am I working with excellency on my job or career, do I need to take classes or attend trainings to keep my skills and mind sharp? How will I choose to react to disappointing situations, will I trust God or trust myself? How can I be a blessing and bring JOY to others in 2024! How can I make this year be the best year yet?
Let’s be intentional in doing a reset in our Mind, Body, and Soul so that we can Go into 2024 with intentionality, focus, and JOY!
